Young teenagers tend to imitate what they see exposing them to violence before they can understand it does not help them Violence just destroys their future by ending up in prison or the grave at an early age. Increasing teacher to parent commutation can be one method of prevention, because this way the teacher can give the parents information of the student’s behavior at school and vice versa. Sometimes the student can act in different ways while he or she is in school and another way when they are at home. Supervision from the parents is very important. The more categories that the child falls into, the more likely they are to develop mental health issues later on in their life (Meltzer, Doos, Vostanis, Ford, and Goodman, 2009). The research conducted by Meltzer et al. (2009), was used to study the factors that were intertwined with domestic violence, as well as to better understand the needs of children who have witnessed the violence at a young age. Grossman meant that we first we need to understand the magnitude of the problem. Just like a virus that you would get if you had a cold, the “virus of violence” is a “virus”. It is a “sickness” that children, even adults, get when they are experienced to violence, whether it’d be at home, in public, or simply just by watching it on TV. I think that the average six-year old child sees about 5-10 violent scenes of violence a day. Now, personally, I think that’s quite a bit, especially for a six-year old.

One of the reasons blamed for their behavior was playing the video game Doom. In the case of Fog city school district, many of the high schools have received negative accountability report cards in truancy, achievement gap and test score. Children that are living in the poverty neighborhoods tend to see more violence than those that are living in the upper, middle class neighborhoods.

Although there have been volumes of research, numerous anti-bullying programs and a lot of media coverage, bullying continues to infiltrate our schools. The advancement of technology which is an open line of communication has expanded the chances for bullying to a degree that demands more innovative and immediate response. Three articles have been chosen that covers a range of thought on bullying causes, prevention, and interventions.
