Practitioners need to praise children and encourage them to succeed in their learning and give them the support they need. Practitioners need to build positive relationship with not only their key children and other children in their setting but also with the children’s parents this gives them a better chance of giving children more support at home. At the setting parents can get involved and this will benefit planning for the child as parents know their children better than anyone and they will know their likes and dislikes and will be able to help them with their development. In a school there are many other people to consider as your team rather than just the people you work with closely on a daily basis. Knowing and executing your role as an individual to the best of your ability allows you to be a valued member of any team. It is also essential to know the roles of those around you. This allows you to fully understand and support each other. By working as a team you can gain valuable knowledge from those who are more experienced than you, but it also allows you to suggest newer and fresher ways to approach learning.
When they have this positive relationship, they are less likely to be unnecessarily competitive but they work together as a team sharing ideas and using the same principles across the school.
