Ecology and Population Growth According to PBS world clock estimate the number of human inhabitants on Earth is 6,886,629,955 (PBS 2008) and the number increase every year around 8193800 per year. The population in several parts of the world are decreasing and for some others increasing. Even though most of people would not understand that the huge increasing of people impacts the environment in a negative way. Our ecosystem is being damage in different ways because of the growing or large numbers of individuals. All of this is because the needs if a human, like oil, wood, water and food. In order for humans to obtain all of their necessities they will take them from the environment. To do so we will take trees creating deforestations, drill for oil and creating errors that can affect the oceans, clear land for homes and also to have crops for food, and drive vehicles and create factories that can attribute to the greenhouse gasses to our environment.
