Cell Phone Usage While Driving COM/156 Texting while driving can become very dangerous, not only to you as a driver, but also to the other people that may be in the vehicle with you. It is also very dangerous to the other people in vehicles around you. I believe that it is also dangerous to individuals who may be walking down the street as well. There are many distractions of texting when driving a motor vehicle. Visual distraction is caused by taking your eyes off the road to check a text message, or to reply to a text message.
Most would say that this a great convenient way to say whatever they need to say to someone, Although, I tend to disagree strongly about this. The person sending the text may not have anything to do at the moment, although, the person on the receiving end could be concentrating on something very important. For example driving, if the person receiving the text is driving, and concentrating on the road in front of them when the text comes through to them, the driver is then distracted and engages into a conversation with the cell phone. Therefore, creating a huge life threatening experience for not only the receiver of the text, and surrounding traffic as well. Putting not only their lives in danger, but oncoming traffic as well that may be carrying valuable contents like children in the vehicle.
Because when we use a cell phone our eyes not fully looking forward but once in a while see our cell phone. That’s the example if we use it for texting. Another case is talking with cell phone in our vehicle. It has been proved that many accidents are caused due to some inattention that is caused by the use of the cell phones. For instance, talking on the cell phone leads to the impairment of driving performance and phone dialing takes the eyes of the drivers from the road and causes results to accidents.
