While on vacation in Daytona Beach, Florida, my husband and I had a hair raising idea and, we decided to move our family from New York City to sunny Florida. We knew Florida would offer warm weather and sandy beaches. After we made the move, we learned that Florida offered much more. Florida provided my husband and me with opportunities not available to us in New York City. In Florida, we purchased our first home, we found work in government, and completed
Strirpe Junior Guard Stripe When I finished Junior High, I didn't know what to do. Somebody proposed to me to go to the Junior Lifeguard camp. I was interested in this camp, and agreed with this idea. So I went to this camp, and you know what, I had a lot of fun. It was the best summer of my life.

Kenny, a skinny quite type who was into reading and music and me somewhere in between both socially and physically. Here we were high school buddies in our mid twenties heading down to the everglades to camp out and listen to this band Phish. Phish was tapping a nerve in America at the time. It was the same nerve the grateful dead found, but with a different generation. It was the adventure that each Phish show promised that lead us and 75,000 others down to the everglades to camp
As a child, every fall, my parents would take me and my siblings camping. Dad worked a lot, so we counted down the days of summer, until we got to be together. Every breath I took was like I was inhaling my childhood. I could hear the waves bouncing off the rocks as we sat on the patio and had lunch. The smell of the water and the warmth that touched my skin, when the sun peeked through the clouds, took me back in time to the campground.
Chelsea Flippin Around-Then Poem 9-1-12 Mrs. Killen Around the summer of 2003 my brother joined the Young Marines. He stuck through the hardships of boot camp and encouraged me to follow in his footsteps. Around fall of 1999 I stepped onto that grass field for the first time, not knowing that this could be my escape from the world. I was a natural. I now have been invited by two colleges and counting to play on their soccer team, which is amazing, and could take the future debt out of my hands.
My grandfather always loved Penn State football, and would always talk about Penn State University to me when I was younger. Once I got the acceptance letter to Penn State I thought of how proud my grandfather would have been if he was alive and knew that his first granddaughter to attend college had
This past weekend I was able to take a trip out to Charlottesville Va to see the Monticello which is the home of Thomas Jefferson. I had a wonderful time there and I loved all of the views that you get of the great mountain sides inside the house. I took a trip out there to see my old high school football team play in the State Championship game. It’s a little expensive to see the house, it cost us 17 dollars a piece to get a tour of the beautiful place, and it was well worth every penny. The whole place is great from the welcome center, Shops and the Monticello it’s self.
A race is coming up this week and I hope I get a good time so I can make my brother proud. This year should be a good year for me because I have been practicing all summer long. One thing that I will do is remember the scar for something that I tried and never gave up
The purpose of Social Security is so that our government is able to pay for basic necessities and Medicare. Everybody who has a job has to pay a little bit of their paycheck into the U.S. Social Security System. So, let's say that I earn $500 per week, then I might have to pay maybe 5% of that, or $25 a week to the Federal government. They hold onto that money and they give it to old(er) people who've retired. Everybody who's retired at an age of 62 receives a paycheck every month to help them make ends
