McClelland and vroom-This theory is simple and it says people are motivated depending on the outcome. This means if an employee doesn’t like the outcome the task is going to produce, then he or she won’t want to complete the task at hand. This theory says to relate rewards to the performance and it is something that the employee would want. This theory says that if an employee is kept happy then the employee will be motivated to work harder. Tesco would not use this method but parts of it such as get Tesco employee rewards that relate to them and their performance Maslow-This theory says that people’s needs have to be met first before an employer can get the best out of their employees.
Choosing to use specialty task assignment the specialization will be maximized and lower the cross-training costs. That is allowing the company to match employees with jobs considering their skills and training. Employee will be limited to performing one function and are not flexible to perform other task and fill the gaps when need it. That also mean the company has to hire more staff depending on the productivity rate and production technology. Decision making with your employees will let them gain respect for the leader and become more determined. This style will bring strength between you and your employees. Laissez-Faire-This style is used when the leader is lazy or distracted, it’s more of a you do what you want style. This style can be used when the team is highly capable and motivated, it’s when the team doesn’t need close monitoring or supervision. This style can cause failure when the leader expects the group to make the decision between themselves when they are un sure about what they need to achieve and how they need to accomplish the task.

Tara is not very engaged when working and does not enjoy talking out issues with co-workers and managers however, she is capable of managing her attitude in the work-place, very detail oriented, and comfortable with her work.
One of my main takeaways from this topic is that money isn’t the best motivator. According to Mayo’s Hawthorne effect, employees feel more motivated when their efforts are recognized, and this can be achieved through bonuses for example. However, this can increase individualism as employees will focus on outperforming their peers. Intrinsic motivation helps create loyal employees who are more satisfied on a personal level. An example of this could be social security benefits.

Lack of teamwork can allow room for error to occur. In leadership roles it's important to show appreciation for the staff by giving incentives for all their hard work this is sometimes overlooked. Finding solutions to conflicts that might occur giving the necessary education in order to improve one's job rather having a high turnover rate. Baack, D. E. & Fischer, A. (2013).
This is not an effective way to get the best result from a team, but it has some advantages in situations where there is pressure to get the task done, like in the armed forces. This leadership style may use threats or intimidation to make sure that subordinates do what the leader requires. This could bring down subordinates by ignoring their knowledge and input. The leader monitors the work and each individual's performance; which is good to make sure that everyone is working. People are motivated by being rewarded; this brings encouragement helping the person who has done well do a better job and help them achieve more in the job.
Behaviors of employees tend to feed off of each other and can be addressed and adjusted by using reinforcement tools with focusing on equality throughout the casino. Positive and negative reinforcement, rewards and punishments can lead to more productive employee behavior and less counterproductive employee behavior. Employees want to be valued as an individual giving and using their skills to generate a productive business. However, when they feel as though they are not valued and receive no reinforcement in a positive manner they tend to feel worthless. On the same hand employers must give positive feedback when necessary as well as criticism when necessary.
A worker almost always wants to obtain job security, so he/she will try to do a good job even if that means trying to do better than someone else. On the other hand, if there is an indolent worker that does not care about his job it will be easy for another worker of the same stature to seem more efficient to said worker. The diligent worker knew what to do in his job environment regardless of any changes. As a result the lazy worker would be terminated from his job and will then have to try and find a new job in order to survive. Workers who cannot keep up with their jobs will be forced to do something about it or will be left behind with nothing just like Bartelby.
