Does the Use of Technology Benefits People? There is no exact term to define the meaning of technology, it is an invention created for the purpose to make people life much easier and efficient. Even though technology is a convenience that benefits everyone in their daily life by making people more creative, innovative, and competitive it also brings the world closer together yet there are still some negative effects that still have to be considered. Opponents argue that technology is a convenience that benefits everyone in their daily life. That statement is undeniable however more comfort and leisure in everyday life can result to develop bad habits such as greedy, unhappy, impatient, insensitive and full of hubris (Kevin, 2009). All these simple positive feelings cannot be tolerated anymore because too much ease has been given to us. Scientist did great progress in technology and this also makes man rarely use their own energy. For example, people normally do house chores by using their own energy but nowadays there are washing machines, vacuum cleaner, and dishwasher plus there may be more invention out there we have yet to know. Besides that, courtesy among society are declining due to the use of technology. Instead of having quality time with family, relatives, and friends they are immersed and engrossed with their own gadgets and gizmos. Opponents argue that technology make society moves forward by becoming more creative, innovative, and competitive. Compared to the old days, nowadays it’s easier to get information by surfing the internet and there are lots of information and knowledge can be gathered in hours. Example, learning lessons in class will be much easier as there are computers and projectors because it is much more systematic and precise. People become smarter and thus this eventually makes people become seriously more competitive in order
