Have you ever had someone come into your life that you had no idea would make a big difference? Pretty rare if you ask me. If you’re an athlete then in most cases that someone would be a teammate. Besides being your teammate you build a friendship, benefit from competition, and gain socialing skills. Being a part of a team you often build a brotherhood. Everyone comes together as a group and gain friendships. In most cases you become closer to one certain teammate. Being together with that person over and over again whether it’s at practice, school, games, etc. you get closer and closer. Over time that one teammate will become like family to you. Crazy how it happens but eventually you and that teammate will do everything together. Not only would they be a teammate but a best friend. Also besides gaining a friendship you get yourself some competition. The both of yall would try to be better than each other often going head to head. By doing that not only does that keep you active but it makes you better. Just like the old saying “practice makes perfect” by playing more you get better. Competition always brings out the best in you and when it’s coming from a teammate makes it that much better. I see it as if you’re going up against a sibling. It’s all fun and games but you gain so much experience from the competition. Lastly another effect a teammate would have on your life would be from the social aspect. Through that teammate in positively sure you will meet a lot more people. Being that you most likely will be hanging out a lot and going out to different places you get to be introduced to new things. For instance, if you’re a big time athlete the media will be all over you and what fun would it be to have the person who helped get you there which is your trusty sidekick teammate. All I’m trying to say is that there is no “I” in team. You
