How Social Media Affect Us Introduction The social media is a way to communicate with your friends, to write and upload pictures, and it’s also a way to find out about many information and news that are going on around the world. However, how does the social media help spread information around the world and how does social media affect the people who use it? This research paper focuses on the impact and effects that the social media has on people. The impacts and effects that social media has on people are news and other information are spread faster and sooner on the social networks than other places and people are more time on the computer because of social media instead of doing homework or doing a sport or even exercising. I chose the topic of the social media for many reasons.

Social networking comes in many forms. It comes in the form of facebook, twitter, and even professional forums such as Linkedin. In such a fast-paced world, I find social networking to be an invaluable way of sharing ideas and interests that allow me to remain engaged. Although some may debate that social networking takes away from face to face and/or quality interactions, I have found it to be an invaluable tool in building community and networks. In fact, I believe it has given us a more effective way of communicating and engaging with one another especially in our fast-paced society.
Social media may increase confidence in making friends because they do not require interacting face-to-face. Another issue that proves social media are not making us anti-social is they reduce distant between people. By one click, recent news of friends could be easily acquired. Although in the absence of conversation, news about distant friends would be acquired by sharing of videos and photos. Besides, social media could allow communications anytime and anyplace even though people are not exist in the same place.
