Adults must also be conscious of their reactions to certain situations in front of children as they are seen as role models, for example using bad language or aggressive behaviour will stick in a child’s mind and they may replicate the behaviour. There are many ways I could serve other with my education, by doing my work for this country, by serving the ones that are less fortunate than I, and to teach the next generation of not just students, but also people that motivation and inspiration are the keys to success and that they should never give up. First, I'd try to do my work in this world by what I am taught in my classroom and applying it to the real world. I would use the morals that my teachers use in the classroom in a world that desperately needs my intelligence, and my sense of service. There is no justice in this world and I would use my education to try and apply it to where it needs to be like: in the world, in the courts, in the prisons, in the fields, in the study and in the classroom, at home and abroad. A second way I'd use my education to serve others is by serving the people that are less fortunate than I am.
Peggy Orenstein proved this in her essay, "Learning Silence: Scenes from the Class Struggle," in which she did field research in junior high schools interviewing and observing the interaction of teachers to their students. I think the reason teachers unknowingly give more attention to a particular gender is because of the way that the teachers were brought up to think. The roles of each gender have already been laid out and embedded in the minds of the teachers from their own teachers and parents while growing up. I think that teachers have many preconceived notions of the gender relations of their students. The teachers unknowing pass the ideas that they learned as a child onto their students, who also do not realize that it is being done to them.

This does not mean that parents have no rights to what happens to their child while they are at school but this allows school to guide student behaviors though discipline. This idea is called in loco parentis (pg. 378). This concept was once more important in schools than it is now but it has brought forth it idea that no matter the student, disabled or not, there needs to be a certain level of responsibility put on all students for their behaviors when they are at school. This would be a great chapter of the book for parents to read because it would help them to understand why the school is doing what it is doing.

Students can be taught what is appropriately creative in order to guide them to the enhancement of their creative intelligences. Then, if the students still need to learn math and science, they can more easily with the creativity and confidence regarding their abilities that they pick up in the arts. Both types of intelligences use one another in order serve a better purpose in the greater scheme of things. So they cannot really be compared because what one discipline deems important, the other may not and so on. We as humans cannot compare r individual accomplishments amongst ourselves to others in accomplishments because everyone is coming from different circumstances.
Solutions for problems like these are hard to come across, but if people took it upon themselves to try to educate them self by reading and writing more than they do it would help them in the long run. There was a table “From Reading at Risk” by Shea, Scanlon L., and Aufses presented that showed how many people actually take the intuitive to read for the purpose of educating their self. The people within the school systems should take a look at all of the problems with the Education system. It all starts with the adults in charge. Not every parent has the financial Stability to send their kids to schools with great education programs, as shown in waiting for Superman.
