Discuss the extent to which international migration is beneficial. International migration may be beneficial, but to a small extent. It causes more problems than benefits and the problems that arise are big and important where the benefits that you get from international migration are not so significant. One of the advantages that could be considered is that when many migrants come into the country where there is need for jobs that are not desired by the people living there, like rubbish cleaning, bus driving etc, the jobs are fulfilled by the migrants. But, if the opposite case is considered where many migrants come into a city where there is high unemployment problems that arise are hard and expensive to solve. Also when many different people come from many different countries, different foods, dances and cultures are made but at the same time there can be problems with racial discrimination, different racial groups being formed etc. which may be harmful. So again in this case international migration is only beneficial to a small extent compared to the other bigger problems that arise. The migrants find it, in many cases, hard to find a job in a new city and don’t earn much money, ending up living in slums, which may be a big problem for the city. The problems that are caused are huge by pollution, crime, etc but a beneficial thing is that these people are forced to do the jobs that last long hours and don’t get paid well which nobody likes to do. In this example you can make out a ration, which shows how big the problems are compared to the benefits and to what a small extent migration is
