The theories that will be discussed in this paper is going to contain the evidence that will support that declaration. Maslow Hierarchy of Needs Theory Maslow’s theory of Hierarchy of needs was developed because Maslow wanted to know how people are motivated. His theory was based on the idea that everyone’s motivation that is not based on a being rewarded or personal desires. He believed that people were motivated by fulfilling one’s needs. Maslow created a list of five motivational needs that is based on a pyramid.
Research supporting the working memory model can be seen in Baddeley, Thomson and Buchanan’s research in 1975 of the phonological loop. Their research saw participants recalling one word at a time, of varying lengths. They found that performance was superior in short words (monosyllabic), rather than polysyllabic words. This shows that the capacity of the phonological loop is determined by the length of time it takes to say the words to yourself rather than the number of items. So there are some confounding variables that can alter your ability to remember some words, rather than just rehearsal, or attention, as suggested in the multi-store memory model.

They used it to refer to the part of the memory that is used when a person is working on a complex task which requires information to be stored as you go along. Baddeley and Hitch thought that short – term memory (STM) wasn’t just one store but had a number of different stores. Because of cognitive science, cognitive psychologist are able to see just what is going on within a person’s brain and make the most educated guess on how he or she should be treated because of their behavior (Van Wagner, 2009). While doing this questionnaire, I was able to find out how my everyday emotions and actions affect me.
