Discipline in Satsangh

20.01.13 Sitaram devotees, I have prepared a very informative speech for you all this morning. It needs to be said, since it is not being addressed and is affecting a part of this satsangh, which would affect the entire satsangh of course, since satsangh is a confluence of all. Our parents and grandparents’ generation are slowly finishing, carrying with them the traditions passed on from India to Trinidad. It is our duty to listen to them and learn as much as we could to promote our culture and what we stand for as proud followers of sanatanist thought. So much conversion is taking place in society. Why is this happening? I can surely tell you why. The first is that a lot of people do not make the effort to understand the hindi and symbolic meaning of a lot of the things in Hinduism. Secondly, it is because of the familiarity the people have there in churches. They listen to each other, they have more than just satsangh, they are somewhat like a family. Why can’t we be like that? Foster good conversations that show that we care about our people so that they can grow spiritually together? The young generation is so lost with respect to culture these days. There is a lot that I do not know. A lot. I come to satsangh to find spiritual enlightenment, but there are setbacks. The older generation cares too much about spreading rumours and lies about children that are not their own. Why should one look at a speck in his brother’s eye when there is one in his as well? If the elder generation continue to bash the youth, how could they stay in satsangh? Why not encourage them and teach them what they know, so that they wouldn’t be lost with respect to spirituality? The ones that left for Christianity left out of neglect from our hindu society. Children don’t come to satsangh because their parents themselves do not even come. What would they expect their children to turn out
