The saga has been retold for hundreds of years and has become even harder to trace back to truth because of the many views on the account mainly by Homer’s take on the event in his fictions The Odyssey and The Iliad. His versions both contain gods and portray Achilles as immortal except for the heel of his foot. The movie Troy, aside from a bit of dramatization and a few minor twists in the tale, is probably more accurate than not. The main question that has been posed is if Troy really existed. Manfred Korfmann, a German archeologist, has led excavations on the site believed to be Troy told of by legends for the past 16 years.
The mystery had almost been solved in 2005 by Zahi Hawaas and his team who took a closer look at a mummy found a century ago which was named KV6oa. It was at first neglected, because it did not have any jewelry or clothes which might indicate this used to be a prominent person (Brown, p. 2). So, another theory concerns her mysterious disappearing, as well as the destruction of any evidence of her rule. Had not it been for an accidental discovery of her tooth, the mummy would still be left unacknowledged. Soon after that, it had been proclaimed the King Herself and now she stays at the Egyptian
There are so many books and films that try to portray the end of the world, but no other has done so as Corrmac McCarthy has. The book is about the journey to no where unparticular taken by a father and his young son over numerous months across a landscape of what was at one time the world we live in. But in ways unknown to the reader the world was conformed into a destructed living hell. Whatever cataclysmic event took place ended up destroying most of civilization and life on earth, and what remains of human civilization now consists mainly of cannibals and their quarry. Human life was scarce and those that are left go to any extents to survive.
King Tut was king of Egypt for approximately four years so why do people consider him so important? Well it has always been scientist's interest in why this king died so young until 1922 when Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon were exploring the ancient tombs of Egypt they discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamen (Tut). They discovered a funerary temple thought to be built by Tutankhamen; he died before he finished building it so his sons finished it. His tomb is buried a mile away from the funerary temple. The Valley of Kings is believed to be where many of King Tut's family was buried.
In the next twenty years gold discoveries attracted fortune-seekers also to other parts of the far West. The first mining settlements were just untidy collections of tents and huts, scattered along rough tracks that were muddy in winter an dusty in summer. But some grew later into permanent communities. The present city of Denver
Throughout time conspiracy theories have captivated the human mind. There is a certain type of sparked curiosity when we hear a conspiracy theory, and for every historic life changing event, one isn’t too far behind. According to Webster’s dictionary a conspiracy theory is defined as a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators. The diamond’s identity changed from a In 1877 the Legendary Tiffany Diamond was discovered in the Kimberley diamond mine in South Africa. The statues were found in early 1970’s in a dark cavern in Xian, located in Shangxi province (Capek, 2008). Radiocarbon dating ascertains that the sculptures date back to the third century. The idea of recreating a whole army is incredible in the sense that no one remotely had thought of such an idea before. At first, the finding was kept in secret from the rest of the world, but it quickly turned out that archaeologists had run into a discovery that they claimed to be the most significant one in the history of sculpture (Man, 2008). This find caused fascination all over the world, since it was the only exact copy of a life-sized army created by humanity.

Whether the Trojan War is legend or history is actively debated amongst historians. To prove there was a Trojan War, one must first prove that the city of Troy actually existed. The literary evidence of Homer’s Iliad, the ancient names assigned to Troy, the archeological evidence and the evidence of eminent archeologists all seem to support the existence of a city similar geographically and historically with Troy, while the discovery of weapons lends support to the theory that a war did take place within the city of Troy. Homer’s Iliad, one of the earliest written sources of ancient Troy, is the basis upon which the myth of the Trojan War has been built. This epic poem, written in 700 BC, (five hundred years after the war) is a compilation of the oral histories passed from one generation to another.
