Introduction It is the university’s task to prepare its students for their future professional life. Therefore, they teach them skills, which are important for their personal development. The offer of opportunities for learning new skills, such as language classes, workshops and open lectures are tremendous. They are important for helping the student to become autonomous and mature, so that they are ready for a life without guidance. Hence, the university tries to find the best approach for achieving the most efficient development. The student-centred approach has shown some good effects on students, as they could evolve, learn and attain their maximum potential. Student-centred learning is learning for life (Trowler, 1987). Skills, which will be crucial for the future, are taught and should be included in the student’s curriculum vitea. This is especially necessary for the student, as the right skills will help him or her to receive their job of their dream. I have acquired skills, of which I am sure that they will have a major impact on my curriculum vitea. I am positive that those will help me receive the job I want and assist me in being successful in it. Student-Centred Learning Carl Rogers (1965) invented the notion of student-centred learning. He described it as a learning method, which intents to be advantageous for students. There are two different approaches to teaching and learning: Traditional learning and student-centred learning (Brandes and Ginnis, 1986). The student-centred approach is participatory and is said to have a positive influence on self-confidence (Brandes and Ginnis, 1986). Brandes and Ginnis (1986) declared that this kind of learning would make it possible to attain one’s maximum potential.
