Some of the common childhood illnesses that you might find in a school are: Chickenpox, the signs for this are a fever, itchy rash with water like blisters will appear on the skin. The child would be sent home and have to stay off school until five days after the on set of the rash appears. Flu, aching muscles and joints, sore throat, headaches, weakness, fever and a cough. the child would be sent home until they had recovered from the flu. Measles, the signs for this are greyish-white spots in the mouth, fever, runny nose, cough, and a blotchy red-brown spots. The child would be sent home until four days after the onset of the rash. Tonsillitis, the signs are a fever, very sore throat with difficulty to swallow, and pain in the neck and ears. there is no specific time that a child should be of school they can return when they feel better. Ringworm, there are two types of ring worm, one is scalp-ringworm and the signs for this are scaly patches on the scalp, which may feel inflamed and very sore. The second is skin-ringworm the signs for this one are ring like red rash with a raised rim. The child should be sent home and return when treatment has started. Conjugatives, the signs for this are very sore itchy eyes, with a yellow/green puss coming from the tear ducts. the child must be sent home and not return until treatment has finished. Diarrhoea/vomiting, the signs you should look for are diarrhoea, dehydration, stomach pains and vomiting. the child should be sent home and return to school two days after the last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting. Glandular fever, the common signs for this are, a fever, fatigue, swollen glands and a sore throat. the child must be sent home and return
