Police Brutality Steven O’Neal Period 5 There is something that has been on the rise ever since 9/11 and not many Americans know what this is, a sad, but true fact. This is police brutality, where cops abuse their power given to them by law, and mistreat/break rules and regulations. Skateboarders, to wood carvers in Seattle, police around the country have mistreated their power. As many of you know, last year the police officer Ian berk knowingly shot a Native American wood carver named john t. Williams. But what most of you probably don’t know, is that this cop got away with murder, the shooting of john Williams was declared unjustified, and a normal citizen with this charge would do anywhere from 25 years to life in prison.
His famous conspiracy of death “to be or no to be”, was a questionable outsource for a lot of people. Hamlet faced relative problems, as he followed his beliefs which took him to the murder of his uncle who had a sexual affair with Hamlet’s mother and who is a widow after her husband’s death. Therefore, all of this occurred only but for recognition, his words and quotes were spoken for no reason with no imagery and without any sense. He spoke for the rights of innocent people and gave his life for his freedom of speech. Was imprisoned for 27 years, till he got out and took over the leadership of his country.
Firstly, we frame the question, and the question will be “Should Carl shoot the two rapists?” then create the maxim, for Carl’s situation will be “When my daughter was raped then I want to see the justice be done, then I kill the men, otherwise they may just get few years in jail only.” Then, the interesting point is universalizing the maxim, so if Carl kills and everyone can kill. Moreover, we should think about the Carl intention. I think this is really unusual thought about killing and justice connection. So think about the universalizing the maxim for two boys’ action if two boys rape people then everyone can rape others without the guilty. Maybe Carl’s situation in Kantianism is more understandable because intention matter not consequence.
Capital punishment saves money and overcrowding in the prisons. The death penalty is the only punishment that would directly compensate for the tragic loss of a loved one. Cons---There are some people against the death penalty because they believe it is not fair to the poor, who cannot afford to hire an attorney to defend them. The poor usually get the death penalty because they are appointed an incompetent court appointed attorney with little or no experience in trying capital cases. There have been a lot of innocent people put to death.
Malik is a plaintiff at this point and if he decided to sue Daniel as a result of his negligence would be awarded in his favor. Daniel was fired by his boss assuming that Daniel had given Ruben alcohol, which was untrue. Daniel became a defendant at this point for wrongful firing without refutable evidence that Daniel had ultimately committed a crime. While walking to his vehicle Daniel is approached by Malik who pulls a concealed weapon in a public place became a defendant at this point because it is against the law. After feeling threatened Daniel pulls out his weapon which may have been concealed within his vehicle and shoots Malik.
From time to time I hear the saying ’‘You have to die in order to protect your life.’’ There is no sense in that what so ever. If you die to protect your life you aren’t alive anymore so how did you protect your life? Nobody says ’’I will spend all my money in order to save my money.’’ Those sayings pretty much have the same logics to me. If I were to guess, I would guess that every soldier that was fighting for his county and had a near death experience was praying and hoping that he would come out of this alive while he was lying there and dying. Joe Bonham was a soldier who almost lost his life fighting for his country.
Abby Schleicher N365 Psychosocial and Ethical Aspects of Care Ethical Case Study 1. The ethical dilemma in this case is that the family of JD will not permit to removing his organs, even though he had the little heart on his licenses that states he is an organ donor. 2. The facts are that JD was a 25 year old male who sustained massive head trauma had the little heart on his licenses that stated he was an organ donor, however, he did not sign up for the state donor registry. His parents had not talked with him before the accident if he wanted to donate his organs so they were not sure what their son wanted to do with his organs.
My cousin didn’t show the typical signs of suicidal tendency, nor did he leave a note. He was just gone from us and the family has not been the same. The stigma that surrounds suicide is hardest on the survivors. The suicide reference library quotes historian Arnold Toynbee as writing, “There are always two parties to a death; the person who dies and the survivors who are bereaved”. Talking about suicide will not save every person with suicidal thought, however with time many can be helped,
This man was left quadriplegic after a diving accident and had been bedridden for almost 30 years. He fought a losing battle with government: he never received permission for euthanasia, and in January 1998, with the help of one of his friends he took poison. Another possible reason for the justifying of euthanasia is the lack of space in hospitals for those who can be cured and saved. It is bitter to own up, but this problem exists in many countries. Those who want to live have no chance to get the proper treatment while those who want to die cannot give their place to them.
[3] He was limbless, missing both arms at shoulder level, as well as legless. His feet were toeless except for two toes on one foot. Initially, his parents were devastated, though Vujicic was otherwise healthy. Originally prohibited by Victoria state law from attending a mainstream school because of his physical disability, even though he was not mentally impaired, Vujicic became one of the first disabled students integrated into a mainstream school, once the laws changed. [4] Bullied at school, Vujicic grew depressed and by the age of 8, contemplated suicide.
