I would think of Chris Martin as a Theory Y manager because he has a positive view of his employees and sees them as energetic, creative and willing workers. He believes that many people in the general population have imagination, ingenuity, and creativity. He does not see his employees are people who dislike work and will avoid it when they can.
This attitude can lead to the rejection of new ideas, and can hinder a company’s performance. Long-term employees do bring insight to the job. They have seen many things and are very knowledgeable about their work. The problem is not keeping older employees; it is when these employees do not continue to bring innovative ideas. Performance should rate higher than tenure, even though tenure is still important.
Like for example, a lot of new employees might be underrated when they first join their enterprise. But, this might just as well be encouraging or advantageous for them. It may lead him to think he should excel more in his job and do the tasks given well before time, and when he fails to do that, he may not be criticized. Although if he does a job better than expected, he will be flooded with praises and his colleagues might be astonished! When one is underrated, he can strive to become better, to prove others wrong and reveal his full potential, and should it fail, there is nothing to lose.

The traits that would be detrimental to Woodside would be being permissive and lack of guidance.
When it comes to low self-esteem if you are being encouraged by a group of people or individuals on a daily basis then you will to start to believe in yourself as well. The whole changing process must start with you as a person first, which means no one can change without believing in him/herself first. Once you believe in yourself you will begin to accept new challenges in life, love yourself, all while taking pride in things you do and become better socially.
