Decision Making Based on Mission and Vision of an Organization Marie Jeanne Embolo Abena MHA601: Principles of Health Care Administration Dr. Julian Achim Decision making is a process that goes from identifying the problem to the right tools to solve the problem. The text book presents three types and tree methods of decision making. The process of decision making starts with identifying the problem. Once what is going wrong is known, the next step is the collection of data. This is step reveals all about the issue. The next step is to put together some hypothesis. The list of possible solutions will therefor put to test. The step is very important in decision making as this will bring up final, the best course of action that will be implemented on the final decision. Our case study falls in the “garbage Can Model Concept”. The decision will be made here under “ambiguity and fluid involvement” (Johnson, 2009). With the public, the law and the partners involved, the leader here need to have policy, apply his decision on. He need to take a decision that will save the company by avoiding losing the Community Medical Center partners who are represented here by the college of surgeon; the Community Medical Center reputation which is menaced here by the media and the labor attorney. Is this assignment, we will make up the Community Medical Center mission and vision statement that can guide the president in his decision, make a decision and present how the decision will be communicate to the parties involved.
