Another reason why I want to be in Avid is because you get to go on trips that are beneficial to life and future endevors. Avid can help you with organization which I struggle with in your classes as well as home. The skills Avid teaches and the broad spectrum of resourceful information given could help me find things when I need them. American Popular Music Assignment #3 May 11, 2015 Music from the 70’s The decade of the 70’s seemed to be an incredibly fun and eye opening time for youth and musicians alike. This decade of indulgence and experimentation gave way to a multitude of choices for music fans around the world, especially in Europe and United States. To choose only three different types of music from this amazing time in our history is a little difficult. I consider my music taste to be eclectic, and I try to keep an open mind. That being said, I would have to say if I grew up in the 70’s that my three choices for different types of music would probably be; Progressive Rock, Southern Rock, and Afro-Centric Funk.
It was my first time so I was nervous. I didn’t think you would find much in the river cause it a river. Usually you see people on TV scuba diving in an ocean, like on the beaches in Hawaii or anywhere in general. The instructor who was showing us how to scuba told us, since thousands of people from all over come to the river a lot of valuable items are dropped by tubers every day. We put our scuba gear on, and begin the hunt to the river’s floor, to pick up left behind treasures.

I am able to concentrate better if the television, computer, and cell phone are turned off. Another suggestion would be to use flash cards to help study and built up my vocabulary. I can get my friends and family involved and they may also be able to add some new words to their vocabulary. The third suggestion I will use is incorporating the new vocabulary words into daily conversations with friends and family. If I am having a conversation in person or by email, I will understand the meaning by using the words in my everyday life.
