I say this because I really want to be able to feel the beat of the rhythm of any type of music. Not only do I want to learn about rhythm, but I also want to learn about the history of dance and of the outfits that were typically worn during these certain types of modern dance for I find fashion is interesting and I feel that this goes hand in hand with the types and presence of certain dances that dancers
In the video, the dance looked like it was very easy to execute but having already been in the technique class all year, it is amazing to know that doing the movements correctly is actually difficult. May O’Donnell constructs her pieces with the use of spacial structure. She organizes her dancers so that different groups are spread out differently throughout the stage and at times she uses all dancers in one singular spacial structure, like a diagonal. She changes the organization on stage frequently so that the audience would be constantly captivated by the rapid action on stage. She also uses many other choreographic tools to keep the attention of the audience and bring contrast to her piece.
James addresses the emotional appeal, also known as Pathos, multiple times in this article. The first example is “dance is a form of celebration. It is artistic.” Dance is considered an art instead of a sport because of the ability the dancers have to turn their bodies into art pieces. It is considered a celebration because dance celebrates music and movement. Dancers tend to become emotionally attached to the piece of music they are dancing to and are able to create a story with their movement, they have to ability to bring a piece of music to life, which is why it is considered an art or celebration.
It is attractive to me. Perhaps, when I was child, I want to learn ballet, so this work appealed to me. And I liked Gogh’s works. The meantime, when I saw Gogh’s works, I thought that Gogh is genius, how to thought his own strong brush printing, color, shape. However, I realized that almost Gogh’s works showed his metal condition.
When my dance teacher informed me that she would soon be offering tap dance, I could not help but feel the need to participate. I enjoyed it so much that I enjoyed it for six years. Because dance had many different styles, using my years of experience in ballet and tap, I would like to examine some differences between the two through the different footwear, appropriate environment, and finally public knowledge and popularity. When it comes to the footwear, there are huge differences. Tap shoes are special since they are made specifically to make noise while dancing in them.
Page 1 Anna Halprin: Breath Made Visible The title of the film is Breath Made Visible and the main artists featured where Anna Halpin, Merce Cunningham, John Graham, and A.A. Leath. In the movie, all these artists where at some point team mates and danced together. Although the group ended up separating, their bond and love for each other still remains. I think it was awesome that after all those years they are still friends and keep in touch, that also shows they have a good relationship. The artists were very close and they all loved to dance together and learned from each other.
I think everyone as a children has the dream of one day to become someone famous in life. It could be in a band, as an artist, actor/actress, the president or any other famous thing. My dream has always been to be a professional ballet folklorico dancer. For me Folklorico is the most beautiful way to express art. All the colors, those huge skirts, and all that makeup just resemblance happiness.
Although a realistic scene with people and objects of more or less natural appearances is depicted, the artist was creative in designing each segment and the whole. Natural contours are reshaped for purposes of greater dramatic expression, characterization, and variation. The size of the shoulders and arms of the dancer at the left is exaggerated in comparison with his legs; how the total contour is simplified and made into an interesting pattern; and how the mood of dance is dramatized by the exaggerated curve of his body and the angle of his knees. Notice these same things in the figure of the woman with whom he is dancing--the carefully felt pattern contours of shoulders, costume, and foot, the rhythmic lines in her hat and dress that add to the particular jumping motion that is her part in the dance. Other creative aspects of this painting will be brought out as its structure is studied, showing how the natural objects are reshaped, placed, and molded into the net plastic expression.

Key features of my chosen practitioner and justification for our choice of Ashputtel to illustrate their influence. The Practitioner which my group chose to use as a result of their surrealist and stylized theatrical style was the theatre Company Kneehigh. Kneehigh aim to recreate well known stories and focus on recreating moods, environments and feelings In order to create, as the Artistic director Mike Shepherd put it, “theatre of humanity on an epic and tiny scale”[1]. Kneehigh use many techniques which we felt personally drawn to as actors and wanted to use throughout our piece. They use a mixture of physical theatre, live music, visual imagery and puppetry to reveal different aspects and feelings of characters and situations
