Communication difficulties may contribute to autistic adults they become socially anxious or depressed or prone to self-injurious behaviours. In the novel The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time we learn about a young boy with autism. From the point of view of this young autistic boy we learn that family and love don`t always make sense in what seems is complete logic, but it doesn`t need to make complete sense to make a family work. Christopher, the young autistic boy, likes logic and everything to make sense so he knows and understands how everything works. He also doesn`t like change and has trouble dealing with it but as his life goes on, he learns how to deal with his struggle. We know Christopher likes logic and everything to make sense.
Losing things, he tells you in the beginning that he misplaces all of the fencing equipment. Getting easily distracted, which is one you see a lot through the story. He says “anyways” a lot because he constantly finds himself getting off topic. People with ADHD are less able to sit still, plan ahead, organize and finish tasks, and tune in fully
During all the excitement that Christopher runs into, he doesn’t forget his mother address; his memory can visualize the letter and the address on it. Haddon is trying to tell the audience how even autistic people can have rare talents not given to most people. A further understanding is made that autism is not a setback on ones abilities to learn and reach success. The Curious Incedent of the Dog in the Night-time is a great book to read. It gives an understanding of autism that most do not recognize.
Most people either have a love or a hate relationship. Lennie and George have a quite different relationship. Lennie would never get mad at George, and will trust him to the end. George gets mad at Lennie because of his mental disability, but then he needs Lennie as a member of there, sort of “family.” Lennie and George’s relationship is quite different from any normal relationship that is common among most people. Julia, Seth, and children who have abusive childhoods all found a way to cope with their problems BUT NOT SOLVE THEM. They are able to be “separated from everything familiar,” and be “pushed into a new state of consciousness” (Armstrong 25). The issue however that arises from dissociation is that these people are unable to grasp reality. They are unsure of what is right and what is wrong sometimes and do not understand why this happens. Many people who do not realize these dissociative experiences are greatly affected.

It ranges in severity from a handicap that somewhat limits an otherwise normal life to a devastating disability that may require institutional care. Nature of Autism Children with autism have trouble communicating. They have trouble understanding what other people think and feel. This makes it very hard for them to express themselves either with words or through gestures, facial expressions, and touch.
This is obvious throughout the story because of his lack of connection with people, the stories he tells, and all the negative things he has to say about people. His negative personality definitely comes from his traumatizing experiences as a child, whatever they may be. Holden is an extremely mysterious person and its very clear because no one knows what is the truth and what is a lie when it comes out of his mouth. In the end, feeling bad for Holden is all thats left. It’s sad that he has lived his life so miserably but things might have been different if he acted more like the real Holden, was more truthful, and wasn’t so deceitful to everyone around
He states that he cant tell lies, yet he tells his father that he wont carry on with investigation and as soon as Mrs Alexander lets him know that she has some information about his investigation, then he turns straight back too it. He explains that the reason he left her before is because ‘she went inside and he didn’t know what to do’. This shows that although he can be quite clever at times, autism still plays a major part in the chapter. He doesn’t know how to socialise with anyone so he simply walked away without saying goodbye because he doesn’t know the good meaning of manners or social equilibriums. To conclude

Individual Impact Mentally autistic people have a hard time with social interactions, non- verbal and verbal interactions. Physically the individual may have problems repeated body movements, show unusual attachments to objects, have sight, hearing, touch, taste dilemmas, or have an outburst cause of routine changes. Other symptoms of autism are unable to start conversations, cannot make new friends, have a certain gaze; speech develops slowly or not at all, short attention span, and have very narrow interests.
