Equality is about everybody being equal to one another, but not necessarily treating them all the same.
"A personalised induction will always be more effective". Discuss. A personalised induction is very effective as it is individual to the client. It is tailored to their individual needs taking into account their cultural backgrounds and upbringings and these factors provide individuals with different outlooks, values and perspectives on life. Clients are all individual and different in many ways and some may have the same problem, but as individuals we all respond differently.
The key to overcoming things like discrimination and prejudice is education. The more we learn about other races and cultures the better we will be able to understand and relate them to our own culture. With this knowledge we will be able to see past the stereotypes and judge each person on their own merit. It is up to us to take actions that will increase this knowledge. We need two types of people in order to make this a reality.
Sometimes different is good, that is what makes the world a giant melting pot of diversity. Now knowing exactly what type of personality I have is a great asset to have because, I now know what are the strengths and weaknesses I have in my personality. Maybe there is a way I can work on these weaknesses to make myself a better person. Working socially is a good start; I can share my strengths with people around me from my personality. As well as for an education point of view this will help me as far as connecting myself with people that have similar personalities as me.
There are numerous arguments why screeds should be personalised. Personalising an induction for a client and focussing it on their favoured modality and whether they prefer an authoritarian or permissive technique can help them feel more at ease with their surroundings. By starting off with the clients preferred modality you can create a safe and restful space for them to begin with, but, it is important to make sure you use there all of there senses in their induction to create a more rounded and fulfilling experience. Although an all round screed using all the senses is important, it is not the only facet to consider as we need to build up a rapport with the client. This view is supported by Diamond 1984 cited in Lynn & Rhue (1991) “One of the most salient features of the hypnotic situation is the relationship between the subject and the hypnotist” This shows that building a connection with the client is evidently important and can open up more pathways into the clients
I realize that these changes will not come easy but well worth it in the end. The first major change would be a paradigm shift in how I view communication in general and its connection to listening. I now know that listening is an action word and there are so many things I can do to help the listening process be more fruitful for each party involved. I have come to the realization that communicating is a give and take relationship and not something that is all about me. I will no longer tune people out if I disagree with them but I will truly listen and ask questions.
They can value and celebrate differences in others rather than maintain an ethnocentric stance and can demonstrate comfort with differences between themselves and others. They have an awareness of personal and professional limitations that may warrant the referral of a client to another victim service provider or agency that can best meet the clients' needs. Self-awareness also helps in understanding the process of cultural identity formation and helps guard against stereotyping. As one develops the diversity within one’s own group, one can be more open to the diversity within other groups. Cultural competence also requires victim service providers to appreciate how workers need to move from cultural awareness to cultural sensitivity before achieving cultural competence, and to evaluate growth and development throughout these different levels of cultural competence in practice.
There are many reasons for conflict, and because of this there are many different ways to deal with conflict depending on the situation. In situations of conflict that is created by misunderstanding it is most likely easier and more efficient to use problem-solving as a resource to solve the conflict. This means that the group or team gets together face-to-face in order to solve the conflict and because of this it is easier to reach a resolution. Another situation that can lead to conflict can be a lack of resources needed for the group or team to work efficiently. This can be resolved by the expansion of resources.

In order to discuss the statement “A personalised induction will always be more effective” we first have to agree that inductions can be tailored specifically to individual clients. Based on the premise that the brain processes information received through our different senses, and we as individuals favour different translations of this information through different modalities as explained in the following essay, I would agree that creating an induction that allows for these translations of information, and tunes into a particular individual, will be more successful than simply applying a universal PMR. This might appear overly simplified taking the complex nature in which the brain processes information, but it is generally agreed that the brain takes information via a visual cortex, auditory cortex and an olfactory cortex.
Diversity means more than just acknowledging and tolerating difference. Diversity is valuable and desirable hold that recognizing and promoting these diverse cultures between people of different background lifestyle leading to greater knowledge and peace. organizational behaviour conclude that promoting cultural diversity reduces absenteeism rates, lower employee turnover, reduce the costs associated with hiring new employees and reduce legal responsibility in discrimination lawsuits.
