Phase 2 Individual Project ENGL101-1403A-21 By Gary Fullwood Living in the Country vs. Living in the City If you had two choices: living in the city or in the country, which one would you choose? The most important decision is where you choose to spend the rest of your life. I believe it is the country rather than the city or numerous reasons. The country has so many advantages including recreational activities, environmental factors and small peaceful communities. In my opinion, there is no argument that the country has a better environment to live in. The constant noise of traffic and sirens are a huge annoyance. The country however has nothing but the beautiful sounds of birds and peaceful quietness. There is so much beauty in the scenery compared to concrete walls covered in graffiti. Ideally most people would rather see large open fields of grass and snow caped mountains, rather than nothing but blocks of concrete, streets, and buildings. In the city most all people like to buy fast food and it is easy to have a meal in a few minutes, but they can rarely cook them well. Whereas, in the country people gradually cook many kinds of food at home, so they can cook better than city people, and save a lot of money and enjoy their own meals. Country life is cheaper than city life. Living in the country with a small community gives you the advantage of choosing to have neighbors or not. We all know that there are some neighbors that you just don’t want around. Most people’s inspiration in life is to live somewhere safe. In most small country towns there is no need to lock your car doors or even your house. If ever an incident were to occur in a small county town, the community is so tight knitted that the culprit can be found much easier. In the country you can walk the streets without worries of getting or mugged or even jumped. There are no gang
