My Country Pride I am very proud of my country, I am proud of my country because we have freedoms and rights that other nations can only fantasize about. This is a place where we have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion. America has changed so much from so many years back. We live in a country today that can now say that anybody can try and believe to be president. Barack Obama being president is a great thing for America. I am proud that we as Americans have started to put race behind us and elect officials based on who they are, not their skin color. We have the freedom of religion in America. It does not matter what you believe, you are free to worship whomever you please in America. That is not the case in many places around the world. I believe that each of us should be allowed to choose what we believe, and nobody should be able to take that away. Most countries also don’t have that. I am very thankful for each and every man and woman that is serving or has served in the military. They make us feel safe wherever we go. The sacrifice that they have made is what makes me free. I am extremely grateful for everyone who has fought and died so that I could live a better life today. They are what make this the greatest country this world has ever known. Our country is very helpful; it is a very good place to start a new life, an example of that is immigration. My country may have some ups and downs, but altogether, my country is amazing. I am proud that my country stands together as a united nation. I will admit, our country does have some problems, but it is my home, and I love
