Country of the Blind Essay In the H.G Wells story The Country of the Blind, the main conflict was Nunez trying to prove to the people that there is a world beyond theirs that he came from and where people use vision as a way of living. The blind people did not believe him and thought of him as a crazy person. In the end, Nunez gave up on trying to show them the outside world and fled to where he belonged. I believe that fleeing was not the choice he had to make if he would have tried harder to prove himself to them.
