1.0 INTRODUCTION A brand is the identity of a specific product, service or business. A brand can take many forms, including a name. sign symbol, color or slogan. A legally protected brand name is called a Trademark .The word brand has continued to evolve to encompass identity - in effect the personality of a product or the company at a whole. A shoe brand is more than just the name or design of a product. It is the way that a consumer connects, relates and identifies with the core message on a conscious and subconscious level. Brand image encompasses: * Brand awareness * Perception of the brand against competitive brands * Emotional affects towards the brand * Attachment to the brand * Value of the brand for the consumer * Brand perception vs. consumer behavior * Changes of brand-consumer relationship in time. 1.1 Origin of the report Basic business statistics is one of the significant courses in B.B.A.program.
