Conflict Management Styles Workplace conflict management is an issue with every company’s managers and employees and is an issue each has to deal with. The company must have good communication, teamwork, and a systematic way in dealing with disagreements in the workforce. There are various ways a company can manage conflict in their fields. The management team must reduce any hostility and aggressiveness at the work site. When dealing with conflict each persons needs and concerns must be addressed. Conflicts at work happen when disagreements within the social structure at work and emotions can fuel the conflict as well as ones beliefs. At my current job employee’s have a wide range of cultures and personalities. There are two many differences to have just one way of dealing with conflict. Differences in how people manage, personal insight, and person priorities are different and how one accomplishes the goals all tend to cause friction. As a group of people, we see conflict differently, some as a disagreement and argument, worldviews, feelings getting hurt, and behavior done by another. It takes only one person to cause conflict within an environment. Lines crossed based on peoples perceptions and beliefs, and a person may attempt different behaviors to have control over the situations. There are a few different ways a company can handle these situations. A passive approach can allow the employees to avoid any arguing because people more passive are more likely to do as told and giving in to another’s persons demands. Though the need of the person who is passive generally is not met and can make a person feel that their thoughts were not shared. A passive person allows another person to make the choices for them in order to avoid the conflict; this can allow a person to feel helpless.
