Thank you again for helping me whenever I needed help. And the final teacher who is one of my most favorite teachers is Mrs. Cox. Mrs. Cox ever since I came into middle school, you have helped me with my grades and other things. You are a great teacher to me. I want to thank you because you helped me with so many things in school.
Laura Eberle Mrs. Prunty English 10 April 4 2015 Malcolm Fights Back For Freedom Think about not being able to communicate with your friends on social media sites anymore. Or getting an essay for English and having to write it all by hand. A computer helps people communicate on social media sites and also helps communication through business deals with people over certain websites or by e-mail. Also, a computer makes the lives essentially easier for people. Malcolm X was a main communicator to the African American people in the 1940s and by the many accomplishments he has achieved for his race, he has made the life so much easier for his people.
This is not any easy task but it can be accomplished and can save the lives of these children. The health concerns and the medical costs associated with the unclean water is shocking. Hospital care is extremely expensive and an unnecessary cost that can be avoided for a struggling country. By decreasing the amount of water born diseases, the country can save a lot of money on their hospital
Although advertisements seem as a positive addition to countries in need of a stable economy, it is a enormous impact on people’s lives. (Doc. E) Without it, people wouldn’t know the latest fashion style, the best car, or the new developed drink and it would keep people in a boring routine of buying the same products and not exploring. Even though advertisements try to influence people’s decisions, it is up to the people as consumers to make moral
Sarah Kliff, author of “Facebook: Why I Hate it…” writes, “I have no idea how many hours of my life I have wasted on Facebook.” I agree with this statement because it is true. We have wasted so much time on Facebook and other forms of technology that we have lost time for other, more important things. Facebook and its counterparts do help us in many aspects like staying connected but we forget that we have real things in life that are right in front of us to stay in touch with instead of wasting time with cyber friends or a cyber-community. Technology does have a good side. It can assist us in many ways.
Generation X is more comfortable using PDA’s, cell phones, email, laptops, Blackberry’s etc... Gen X is a very flexible generation. Many of these people lived through difficult times such as; the 1980’s where they saw their parents lose hard-earned jobs. This population is less committed to one company or firm. They adapt well to change and can tolerate alternate lifestyles. Gen X is determined and eager to accomplish things on their own terms.
But the problem isn’t that the teachers give it, the problem is that students have no time for studying and doing there homework. This essay will hopefully persuade you to realize why students need less homework and why they don’t have time for studying. Students come home from school and because of their heavy coursework, have to start their home work immediately. Because of this, the students cannot interact with their family as much and therefore the home lives of the students sometimes suffer. The students have to sit down at a desk for many hours a day which is not only tedious but also unhealthy.
Do we really even have the focus and dedication to sit and read a traditional book anymore? The Internet is a splendid addition to our society but we are allowing ourselves to depend on it fully and ultimately permit this technology to affect our mental health. Contrary to the many ways technology has benefited us, it can be harmful for our brains by hindering our concentration, promoting our inability to focus, and causing us to neglect deep thinking. Being distracted is not something new, although it is more frequent now causing us to live in a perpetual state of interruption thus weakening our ability to concentrate. We are just as busy in our offline lives as we are on the Internet.
Technology is a really over-powering thing and a growing epidemic and I feel that it's really taking a tole on young people but at the same time advancing the communication between us. To know that teens are using their phones on average 60 times a day is quiete saddening because there are so many other things you can be doing, such as doing home work, studying and spending time with family.
People are increasingly suffering from insomnia and disturbed sleep, even though the average length of time we spend sleeping has extended by 10 minutes since 1992 to eight hours and 30 minutes. Smart technologies has bad effects on the society and the environment and on all aspects of human relations, but with the type of world that we have today, smart phones and smart technology are very important and useful if used properly and with caution. It makes everything faster and easier. Smart technology do have an effect on education in both good and bad ways, this is also applied to productivity and communication in the work place and social engagement. Smart Technology can be constructive if used properly with controlled time and the supervision of adults and mature people, and with awareness from addicting to it.
