Comparison Between Bogota, Colombia and Miami, Fl

Bogota and Miami are different in many ways. But, I would like to expose my critical analysis about the most significant differences. First, Miami has a great road structure, while Bogota’s roads continue with a delay of more than 30 years. You cannot compare any of the Miami’s state roads like SR 826 expressway with 26 street in Bogota. The first one has more than 30 miles and the 26 street has only 5 miles. Other big difference in both roads is the maintenance. Palmetto has a preventive care all year long by the city and the 26 has a precarious care by the mayor. Also, there is a big difference in the topography and climate. Bogota is at 2600 meters above sea level and Miami is located at sea level. This affects directly the climate. For example Bogota has an average of 50 degrees and Miami manage over 90 degrees. There are some facts like location and economy that can be analyzed when you compare the two cities. Bogota is located in the center of the country and Miami is located in south east of the country. For those reasons, they have big differences in the business area. While Miami perceives a big income based on tourism, Bogota has its biggest income coming from the manufacture industry. Finally, it is the variety of nationalities. While Miami welcomes people from different countries, Bogota receives people from different Colombian cities. In addition there are differences like language, culture, and food. Miami handles international people and Bogota locally people. In my opinion, if somebody says that Bogota and Miami are alike cities is strongly wrong. These two cities can never be the compare under the same criteria, because their multicultural influence, topography, and location will never
