I learned that there is a number of different steps within the criminal justice system and the involvement of all the parties involved such as police, judge and jury and the defence. According to John Champion the main purpose of the criminal justice system is to process and prosecute individuals who commit crimes against society and to deal out suitable punishments for these individuals. This is a pivotal part in terms of maintain the functioning of society and to ensure that people don’t go around breaking laws wherever and whenever they want.
The revelations that Muhammad received are now considered to pivotal text included within the Islamic Qur’an (Islamic bible). It is important to note when trying to understand Islam, that around 631 A.D. Muhammad was able to enter into the city of Mecca and convert all the Arabic tribes to Islam. Islam and Christianity are similar in many ways, however the main difference in the religions lies in their beliefs that God is singular, Jesus was just a prophet, Jesus was not crucified, heaven can be obtained by the works of man (doing good deeds, or bad deeds), and the concept of Trinity is unconceivable. Criminal Justice Policy Process Amber Pickett AJS/582 February 4, 2013 Joseph Gutheinz Abstract This manuscript will describe the criminal justice policy process. The manuscript will also include the key actors in the criminal justice policy process, the steps involved in the criminal justice policy process, and suggestions to improve the criminal justice policy process. Criminal Justice Policy Process Crime control policies, protocols, standards, and guidelines are the efforts of the government to protect society from criminals by reducing crime through initiating policies to control criminal justice issues. The actors of the criminal justice policy process unite to determine what laws and policies can make society a safe place for everyone (Marion & Oliver, 2012). The criminal justice policy process reflects what is best for society as a whole and not what is best for individuals.
Overall the Koran teaches its believers to be good people and it has very good core values I found inspiring. I found extremely interesting on how the Koran was written. It seemed that three powerful figures were involved in the Koran; Allah, The angel Gabriel and the Prophet Mohammed. That in itself is a topic I would like to read more about. What we see in the world today is how Allah is an important factor in the Islam religion.

Many of the new colonies were settled people who faced religious persecution for their beliefs in England. And I think as our country grew, many immigrants were drawn to our country because of its religious freedoms and diversity. Our democracy guarantees that no one can be treated differently because of their religion. Right now, we have a Mormon Mitt Romney running for president and we have people of different faiths in government. Sometimes there is still prejudice but overall all that we have freedom of religion that really is a great tool to help our country be
Criminal Justice Essay: Choice Theory I think that everything has balance. That there are multiple ways to look at things. There are two sides to every story. I think that this applies in many ways to the different types of choice theories. Rational choice theory says that criminals are rational people.
On the other hand, Muslims practice the Qur’an and practice prayers by attending the Mosque. Since culture is learned, so is religion. Religion can be considered as a way that explains, validates, comforts and explains the world. Clifford Geertz (1966) defined religions as a ‘system of symbols, which act to establish powerful, pervasive and long-lasting mood and motivation in men’ This means, that religion has an emotional power, which is essential in human experience. Moreover, religion meets the deep needs that humans have to better understand the world beyond immediate experience, to seek comfort and to be part of a community.
Outlining the Criminal Justice System In order to understand the criminal justice system of the United States it is imperative to first understand what crime is. Simply put a crime is the violation of a rule or law put in place by a governing body (Schmalleger, 2009). This is a broad definition that allows for variation in what is considered a crime all across the United States. Despite the varying types of crimes the elements of the criminal justice system are constant. The criminal justice system is composed of three parts: law enforcement, courts of law, and corrections (Schmalleger, 2009).
