It gives a person stability in a world where everything seems to be continually changing. Identity is not only what others view you as being but also how you view yourself as being. The tradition in my tribe has shaped who I am. My parents too, taught me many things just by raising me. The moral values that they taught me I will always remember.
Is your daily life different because of gaining citizenship? ___Gaining a citizenship has changed my life in many ways which leads to what really inspired me to become a US citizen. I now have the right to vote and have a voice. I have rights; I can get certain benefits when it comes to my education. Their values and beliefs are much stronger which took me a very long time to adapt too. Culture has been around for thousands of years. As humans, we take what we have surrounded by us and make use of it. We create ways to adapt to the environment to survive and create order between ourselves. When someone studies another culture, they learn many new things that they can use for themselves in the future.
Being involved in an African American Heritage team taught me patience while learning. It also helped me realize what method of learning and remembering worked best for me. That team boosted my self-confidence because I did very well during the Black Heritage Bowl and my team won. I learned that a lot of hard work does pay off even when it seems impossible. LIFE EXPERIENCES As I have experienced many things in my life, I am now more prepared to go through my degree program because of my personal desire to be successful.

Page state that Americans “grow up and live in a variety of distinctive environments that shape general political outlooks and specific attitudes in distinctive ways.” (132). Over the course of time all of my decisions have been a result from the influences that surround me. There are a number of qualities that I identify myself with, and those qualities have paved a path for my political standpoints. These identities are so deeply rooted into my pattern of thought that I do not even have to question the reason behind my decisions.

Today, the Navajo accepts changes from the past and used it to have a promising future. Acknowledging the importance of education and economic success but keeping the value of Navajo belief of supporting family and community. The African Americans, Chinese Americans, Nigerians, and the Navajo had different challenges and accomplishments in the previous century. They faced many hardships, discriminations, and violence, which helped shape their culture and future. These people had contributed many things not just to America but to the whole world.
Through the realm of history, fads have changed and diverged tremendously through out the years. Whether we are talking about the Emo style, or bell-bottom jeans, fads have greatly helped defined history since the very begging of time. The book Bellwether written by Connie Willis is a great representation of the many fads individuals face through a life time and how they evolve. These fads are forever changing, but leave a huge impact on style and history as we know it. These fads impact our world in great ways by promoting self confidence and by developing jobs through out the world.
