1. MAIN RESEARCH ISSUE
Eight advertisements will be identified from two magazines to describe and explore the characteristics of the nine creative concepts within these advertisements through a cross-sectional, quantitative and qualitative content analysis; this will include various types of communication.
* RESEARCH CRITERIA
The main research issue meets the criteria as advertisements and magazines are relevant to society, specifically in South Africa.
The researcher can gather the necessary evidence in the form of the characteristics of the creative concepts in the advertisements from the two magazines Woman&home and Fairlady; the ability to research meets the criteria of the main issue since the researcher’s evidence is gathered in the above form.
The means to conduct the research was financed by the researcher to purchase the two magazines, the magazines being Woman&home and Fairlady and so the criteria of feasibility are met by the research issue. The researcher must gather the necessary data from the advertisements of the two magazines despite the fact the researcher does not state to be an expert. This research is a short term research issue therefore there is no need for other researchers to participate in this research issue, there is an appropriate amount of time to conduct and complete the research issue assignment. (Du Plooy. 2009:53).
