Communication Method: Email Description: The word ‘email’ is short for ‘electric mail’. Emails are a way to communicate with others digitally through the internet and other computer networks. Emails usually have a piece of text inside. They are sent from one computer to another; however it does require both internet connections to be working at the same time for you to receive the message immediately or you can always receive the email at a later date. Emails are kept usually in an inbox or sentbox electronically. These are files on a computer which can be entered by various commands. They are very useful for businesses to have and use because not only can then display messages, but you can also send over the internet attachments, which can include pictures, document files, etc which is useful for businesses to use rather than sending letters to send memos, quick questions and answers, meeting announcements, forms, surveys, etc. It is now almost as common as telephone calls. Most companies now use emails and now most people can be reached through their email addresses, whether its business or private. There are many different email systems people use such as hotmail, yahoo email, Gmail, tiscali email, etc that are all free to use which is why so many people use email. Sometimes when you set up to use the internet, they create an email automatically for you to contact people. Even though it may be a free email service, you will still have plenty of storage space, you should still have a spam filtering. Businesses tend to make their own email addresses which you have to pay for, to make them seem more professional and easier to remember. Companies create an email address to make sure people know they take their businesses seriously. Benefit of the system Examples If you send emails it makes it easier to send out multiple messages
