Coaching Research Paper
a) My responsibilities for being a coach are treating the kids fairly and being a good role model. My background and experience for being a coach is I have coached hockey for close to 7 years for both of my sons.
b) I was contacted by Minor Hockey because they were short on coaches, I accepted and enjoyed every minute of it.
c) I go to a coaching clinic every year I know I am going to coach
d) Well, I haven’t coached for some years but as long as the kids have a good work ethic and are coach able I am happy

Objectives Of The Program
a) Alberta Minor Hockey
b)My objectives to see in the kids while they are under my supervision are that they are making a good impression of the town or program they are playing for, I also look that they are always polite and nobody is left out if they play as a team on the ice they better off the ice as well.
c) I see myself as a role model and a teacher. The kids look up to me and I look up to them too, you never stop learning as a coach. Every practice or every game you learn something new, there is a lot of trust needed to be a coach, you need to trust the kids and they need to trust you or else you will ever accomplish what you need.
Selection Of Athletes
a) The selection process is defiantly not easy, but it has to be done. You have to look at different pro's and con's from each player. First thing I look for is heart, even if the kid isn’t the strongest skater or the best stick handler, if I know that he will give 100% each shift and never complain that is the best attribute an athlete can have in my eyes.
Setting Of Goals
a&b) Before I set goals each year I have to see the players as a team, I usually try to set up a few exhibition games before the regular season so the kids can get a little more confident and comfortable on and off the ice. After...
