To what extent is climate change a bigger global threat than terrorism? Global warming is a term that is used worldwide and brings fear to everyone. The thought of change in our world is a very scary thing. What makes it the scariest is that it is very difficult to be controlled and it will take a lot of hard work to stop it. The climate changes have rapidly increased in the years passed and they continue to increase. This is bringing more and more fear into the lives of people throughout the world. Many animal species have started to die off due to the changes in their environment. For example, polar bears live in the arctic and thrive off of the cold temperatures. Since the temperatures have started to rise, the ice that they once lived on has melted and they are having a very difficult time surviving. People have increased the temperature of the Earth by contributing their pollution. Burning fossil fuels and forests has been the biggest issue amongst us all. Simple changes could help in simple ways but the fact is that since it is a global issue, the world has to be involved in order to make a difference. The United Nations has contributed in this way by holding meetings to discuss the climate changes throughout the world and what can be done to help. Terrorism is also a rising problem throughout our world. It brings destruction and tragedy to many nations and needs to be stopped. It poses threats and then follows through with them unless they are stopped. However, terrorism can be taken care of and controlled by other countries through war. Climate change could also be seen as a type of terrorism. The threat that it poses is that the world will slowly change into something that has not been experienced before and will ultimately bring destruction. Unless these changes are stopped, they will continue until it has followed through with completing its
