Chadwick’s work here was significant as these reports were published in the annual report of the Poor Law Commission and received official authorisation, bringing their conclusions to the attention of parliament, therefore leading to the Home Secretary asking for a further report to be completed. In the history of fatal diseases, none compared to its atrocity and brutality. Like an epidemic, the disease took over the body of the infected student in a mere five minutes.
In 2007, Hope for Haiti foundation had built twelve water filtration plants in schools, orphanages, communities, and clinics. These were solar powered, ultraviolet systems that could provide over 500 gallons of drinking water a day. These systems were damaged during the earthquake. After the earthquake an additional 194 people died due to a cholera outbreak. Due to the lack of filtration, families had been drinking water from the rivers that had later tested positive for cholera.
The famine began in September 1845, it was an airborne fungus which killed the much needed crops and in turn caused the migration from Ireland. Throughout the famine years, nearly a million Irish arrived in the United States. In the website it also states that in June 2001, when tropical storm Allison occurred in Houston, TX Jehovah witnesses quickly organized reliefs. Another article in the website stated that on September 11, 2001, after the attack in the twin towers, many people were welcomed into the Jehovah witnesses international headquarter office. Also ministers were allowed into ground zero to be with the workers. Many people thanked the Jehovah witnesses for their help.
