Clara`s day. 1. Write a short summary of the text: Clara Tilling is 15 years old and one day at school assembly she decides to take all of her clothes off. She goes past the headmistress lectern, where the head hesitates for a moment, and then begins to read out again. Few people who saw it giggled at her, but she didn’t seem to pay attention to anything else. Her naked walk stops when she reach her own form-room where she puts a science overall at her naked body. Afterward she talks with the head about the incident, and why this had happened. They discussed if the divorce of her parents may had coursed (indirectly) this incident. After they had talked about the incident, where she promised to come to her (the head) if that thought ever should cross her mind again. The head decided only to write a letter. A few days later Clara and her parents receive the expected letter from the principal (head). But the mother does not become angry or sad, she begins to laugh, and then describe Clara's youth. She explains, to her boyfriend Stan that Clara used to be a prude, and that she is modest, and she never thought she had it in her. In the end of the story, when the mother and Stan are driving towards their work, Clara is sitting at the table, where she begins to cry. 2. Make a character sketch of Clara. Clara Tilling is fifteen and a half year old. She is an ordinary teenager, but got some disturbances, especially in form of her family. She most likely got difficulties getting through her mom and dads divorce, and the fact that she got to convince herself that the stepfather Stan now is a part of her life. All this is might equal to the incidence at the school where she walked around naked, that we as normal people would associate with some kind of sickness or problem. But in some way I think I can connect me to the way she is thinking. The lack of attention
