The managerial level involves the functional manager, project manager, facilitator, and customer. The functional manager is regularly the department head and the project manager is the central point of the project. The project manager will be the main one to plan, execute, and close the project (Kloppenborg, 2012). The facilitator holds the role of challenging the team to think outside the box and develop new solutions should there be a standstill on the project. Finally, the customer role can also be carried out by the sponsor, who is responsible for prioritizing projects, selecting contractors for the work, writing and signing charters, and conducting kick-off meetings (Kloppenborg, 2012).
In effort to fulfill the request we need to find out more information about the current system in place and what requirements are needed for the new system. We can begin by meeting with those higher up individuals in the Riordan Manufacturing Company and then a few employees that will actually be utilizing the system more often than others. The first to be met with would be Hugh McCauley, who put the service request in. He is the Chief Operating Officer for the company, Hugh would be able to better define the requirements that are needed for the new system. The next individual would be the Director of HR, Yvonne McMillian and at one individual from each discipline within HR.

Career Development Plan Summary Joe King University of Phoenix Proper planning, scheduling and cost control are vital aspects to the overall success of Industrial Design and Construction. As the rapid growth of Industrial Design and Construction “IDC” continues, upper management request the need for a segmented project controls group. Currently, the project managers are responsible for all the project controls functions. As IDC secures larger and more complex contracts, project managers are unable to perform the project controls functions. The project manager’s time is consummated organizing interdepartmental project support, mitigating risks, performing damage control, and developing relationships with the
In order for engineering to be as accurate as possible from the start, professional qualification and familiarity with local codes and standards is essential. If a parent company intends to outsource the engineering of a project to another location, some sort of formal training or education sessions may be necessary to ensure that the contractor is familiar with all codes, standards and project procedures. The second area that many Project Managers are challenged by throughout the
Gregory Jackson 10/10/2014 Professor Cox HUM-201-10-F14 American monuments that reflect the influence of Roman sculpture and/or architecture Growing up in the Washington D.C Metropolitan area I have seen many different sculptures, buildings, and murals. In addition, the building that reflects the influence of a Roman sculpture the most would have to be the Washington monument, but as a child we called it the upside-down pencil. The Washington Monument is a tall, four-sided, narrow tapering monument which ends in a pyramid shape at the top. The monument was built to commend the first documented President of the United States George Washington. According to nationalparkservice.gov, “The Washington Monument towers above the city that bears his name, serving as an awe-inspiring reminder of George Washington's greatness”.
Roman Technology History 107 Julie Gatling Book 01/08/2013 I will be writing my paper on Technology during the P re History Roman era .I will be talking about the different ways technology was invented and how it was use during that time period ,and how we use their technology blueprint of their time., the heating system, cement ,aqua-ducts ,and watermills. I also will be investigating who was the first inventor of cement is it going to be the Nabataea or the Romans? First I will be talking about heating systems. The Romans was the founders of the heating system, that we use today. The Romans didn't like the cold especially the elite people or people of status such as the King and Queen.
In the past 7 ½ years, I have been working for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Our current mission statement is “Deliver vital public and military engineering services; partnering in peace and war to strengthen our Nation’s security, energize the economy and reduce risks from disasters.” (U. S. Army Corps of Engineers) Organization Description USACE got commissioned on March 16, 1802, and provided the engineers the responsibility of founding the US Military Academy at West Point. In more modern times the Corps “has responded to changing defense requirements and played an integral part in the development of the country. Throughout the 19th century, the Corps built coastal fortifications, surveyed roads and canals, eliminated navigational
Employee Training and Career Development Paper Karl Bryant HRM/300 04/13/2015 Dr. Lauraann Migliore Employee Training and Career Development Paper There are many aspects that go into the training and career development in different organizations. Each organization depends on human resource department in different ways. Human resources is a people department because in most companies today managers depend on HR to find or locate candidates that are right for the job and also aid in the training or creating the proper training to ensure new hires are going to be able to get the job done right. Creating a job or career is the hard part in an organization due to the fact that you have to make sure labor demands are high enough to pay the employees for the positions if the labor demand is not high enough or worth doing you would basically be paying money when it’s not practical. The role of training in an organizations development is an important aspect of any company and is a process of its own.
