Christmas can be explained as a time of gathering, a time for family to get together and share time and love. This is what the values of Christmas were; now things are not the same. It is becoming more about who gets what and how much stuff a person gets. The Christmas holiday has been contaminated with advertising commercials and sales that stores put on; it is as if they have taken away Christmas all together and just made it a huge selling point. But there are still some hopes for a conventional Christmas, according to Crittenden, “This year is no different, despite the grinchy economic pall that has fallen over retailers.
Activity-Learning about shape and colour by making Christmas trees On the 2nd of december, I Ied an activity whereby 6 children decorated white and green christmas trees, using paint, sponge shapes and sparkly foil shapes in relation to the theme of christmas, whilst we learned and asessed each childs knowledge of shape and understanding of colour. Before I begun I made sure all the things I needed for the activity were set out and in place. I made sure there were plenty of both white and green large triangles cut out , these were simple large triangles, 20cm by 12cm, as these were our trees and I wanted to make sure I had enough of each colour in case each child chose the same colour and if a child really enjoyed the activity

The hemlock woolly adelgid is in the same species and is very similar to the balsam, and does exactly the same things only on hemlock trees. So, BWA is free from natural enemies that keep the pest under control in its native range. Three adaptations the balsam woolly adelgid has acquired by living in Minnesota is that it can live in cold and humid temperatures because it had a waxy wool-like material to cover its body, it’s very small so it doesn’t have any predators, and there are so many of them it’s hard to kill them all. It also is a threat to Minnesota ecosystems because in some localities, firs are slowly being eliminated from the ecosystem; and adelgid populations continue to spread to previously uninfested areas. It caused the gaunting of branch nodes and the terminal growth of

Although apples grown from seed are rarely sweet or tasty, apple orchards with sour apples were popular among the settlers because apples were mainly used for producing hard cider and apple jack. In some periods of the settlement of the Midwest, settlers were required by law to plant orchards of apples and pears in order to uphold the right to the claimed land. So Johnny Appleseed planted orchards that made for popular real estate on the frontier. [8] His first nursery was planted on the bank of Brokenstraw Creek, south of Warren, Pennsylvania.
The process to create the paper does not involve releasing harmful toxins like tree paper processing does. The largest benefit of using hemp as paper is the fact that hemp can harvest in just four months after being planted. Trees can take tens to hundreds of years to be ready for harvest. The fact that deforestation due to tree paper processing destroys the habitats for thousands of animals also must be taken into consideration and adds to the list of reasons why hemp needs to be grown in the U.S. In addition to the use of hemp as paper, an equally valuable and environmentally friendly use of hemp is as a source of
Choose a spot you're sure you can live with as these plants don't take kindly to frequent relocations.
