Lines are usually very long for high intensity rides, but the anticipation that is created waiting in lines are a thrill itself. As a rollercoaster lover, I like to visit Six Flags a lot. Going on old rides always bring back great memories with of my friends and family. It has changed by far from when they first came out. The evolution from wooden tracks to steel tracks have allowed for more flexibility in the air, as the wooden material restricted the coasters.
The first ride we got to was the Loch Ness Monster. It was yellow with a race car looking cart. There was a long line waiting to get on it. We soon reached the front and I was getting more and more nervous, but I had rode rollercoasters before. I sat beside my brother so I felt a bit better.
The brochure attracted our attention so much that we decided in that minute to purchase tickets to Las Vegas. Before we went to Las Vegas, we did not expect that this trip was going to be one of the most exhilarating family vacations we have ever had. We already felt very excited the night before and when we arrived at Las Vegas. It felt so electrifying to imagine the place from the brochure that created wonder and fantasy in my mind. When we the time we arrived, we were all amazed by the atmosphere in the airport.

When the word summertime is mentioned vacation is the first thought. There are so many great spots in America to spend your vacation with the family. The two most common places families like to go are the places with rollercoaster and rides. Disneyland and Six flags are the most common places families would like to go to, because both places offer a variety of fun activities.
It was just like seeing Santa on his sleigh in a Christmas parade. Obviously they weren’t the real Three Kings, but as a kid I believed they were. After the festival was over, my family and I went back to my grandmother’s house and had our family party. It just so happened it was my grandmother’s responsibility to throw the family party that year, which is why we flew down. At the family party, there was great food and drinks, and we even had a band come play traditional music.
As a child I visited Florida every holiday and a year later my mother decided to move to Florida. My first time visiting Florida was so memorable we would visit family members and eat at different restaurants. A favorite place for me when I visited Florida was the getting my hair braided at the shop and going to the race track. I remember when we visited the race track Mr. Gerald Alston a famous singer treated me and my cousin our favorite place we enjoyed riding the race cars, playing games at the arcades. It was wonderful all the children were steering at us while we attended the race track with Mr. Alston; their parents were amazed at the singer spending time at the race track with kids in public.
I was about in 6th grade when my family and I went to Orlando, and it is a trip I will never forget. It was my first plane ride ever and it was so exciting! Sitting by the window on the plane was just amazing being above the clouds and getting to look down and just seeing how big and puffy
Roller coasters have been in existence since the 1700’s and since then many records have set among the highest and fastest roller coaster, but there have also been several accident and tragedies. A steel roller coaster is a roller coaster that is defined by having a track made of steel. A roller coaster with running rails made of flattened steel strips mounted on laminated wooden track. Steel coasters have a generally smoother ride than their wooden counterparts and due to their strength rides can have more complex and faster turns and twists without injuring riders. Although some coaster enthusiasts prefer wooden coasters because the ride tosses you around more making the ride feel more dangerous and giving a larger adrenaline rush.
There is an amusement park owned by Dolly Parton called Dollywood. Also, up in the mountains there is a large building with an indoor skating rink that had more rides and alpine sledding. Alpine sledding is a wonderful activity for families, and you'll enjoy the feeling of wind rushing past you as you speed down the mountain! Even though there are lots of tourist-centered things, a vacation to Tennessee is completely worth it. So bring your family and enjoy your vacation!
It was a wheel that was under the track and would keep the train coasters from going off track. This was a big step in Roller coaster designing and in Coaster History. Now designers can make steep drops and sharp turns and still have the coaster cars be going at exhilarating speeds. Miller’s “Miller under friction wheel” is still used in almost all roller coasters. He also had his share in making “scream machines”.
