Characteristics of good writing There are many good characteristics to writing a good project, essay, or whatever it is that you are doing. One of the characteristics would have to be brainstorming, you should write all of your ideas off to another separate sheet of paper to get an idea of what it is that you would like to talk or write about. Brainstorming is when you take all of the ideas that come to mind and write them down so you won’t forget them. Brainstorming comes in handy when you are doing a project and your mind goes blank and you forget something you learned earlier, that is why we are very blessed to have the ability to write things down on paper. Another step is to read something that has to do with the object or subject that you are writing about. For instance if you are writing a paper about Lebron James then you should go to a local library and checkout a biography on Lebron James, maybe even go online and see what all facts you can find about him on there. If you are writing about the war of 1812 maybe you could go to the reenactment of the war and take a notepad to write down facts about the war and how the battle went. You could also write down what you see, for instance how they dressed, how they ate, or maybe even how they learned and what they were taught. While doing these steps you can always go back and add to them. Maybe you could learn something new about this person or thing and want to add that to your research. Or maybe you left something very important out like a birthdate or birth place. You can also write down any new ideas that have come to you or that you have discovered. It is very important to do these things so that your paper is good and so that you will get a good grade on the
