According to International Trafficking (2010), victims of human trafficking are traded inside of their own country's border as well as inside of the border of another country. Drug trafficking is another big issue, particularly around the United States borders. According to the New World Encyclopedia (2009), drug trades is a production of the black market. In some parts of the world, trading drugs is not enforced among all people. There is a large profit that can result from drug trafficking, which could be one of the reasons behind the crime not always being viewed under a zero tolerance policy.

Both the North Carolina and United states goal is to enforce law. Comparing the two, both the president and the governor serve a 4yr term. In order to exceed the four year term, you would have to get reelected. The United States and North Carolina both have a two year terms. There are two years per term.

In Mexico it's is no secret that things aren't going smoothly. Their government is corrupt followed by their police enforcement. Their government steals their taxes from them, about 15% (The main reasons, 2008). I don't know about you but I would want to leave if my country was stealing money from me. Law enforcement is abused in many ways.
Substance Abuse against Public Officials Drug abuse has tainted our nation and its citizens to believe that taking illegal drugs can be non prohibited and can not be taken seriously. Many public figures have taken the wrong turn and has either been in possession of illegal drugs and/or has taken them. Because public figures are set to be as an example and a representation of their position, the idea of taking illegal substances has been almost negligible to some. Allegations of drug abuse and other scandalous actions have caused the current mayor of Toronto, Robert Ford, to become the target of the wrath of Toronto city council members. Cedric Craig 3/13/14 3rd Pd Long Essay Baker vs Carr 1962 The case of Baker vs Carr in 1962 was a milestone United States Supreme Court Case, the Court gained power to rule on apportionment law and bicameral states became equally apportioned. The case had made the Supreme Court retreat from the political question doctrine. The political question doctrine is whether or not the Supreme Court system is an appropriate forum in which to hear the case, the doctrine is also closely linked to the concept of justiciability. The case decided that redistricting, attempts to change the way voting districts are outlined, issues present justiciable questions which would have allowed the federal court to intervene and decide the redistricting cases. The defendants unsuccessfully argued that redistricting of legislative districts is a political question which made the case go to the Supreme Court.
During the beginning of the Prohibition corruption had not been a large issue, but overtime it became more and more apparent. The amount of cases involving alcohol continued to grow in courts, the government was unable to keep up. So in response judges began to take bribes allowing the defendant to escape free of any charges. Along with judges, police officers also began taking bribes mainly because of their low salaries. These men were more interested in money then fighting to decrease the crime rate.
