I'm a half brother and I'm full Navajo. The Nez Perces were able to aquire hunting tags for a Bison hunt near west Yellowstone in Gardiner Mt. We have always been told stories of how our predecessors used the buffalo. Our religion and prayers songs are all passed down from the buffalo culture so it was especially significant for us to be apart of this. 30 January 2014 My First Buck Deer season has always been an annual hunting tradition in the Graham family. My Grandfather owns approximately one thousand acres of pasture ground which just so happens to be abundant with whitetail deer, the native species of deer around Kansas. The majority of his land is located around Thayer, Kansas, stretching south to the vicinity of Moorhead, Kansas. I wouldn’t call Moorhead a town as it is unincorporated, but I do believe it was once considered a town. The hunting season with a firearm for Kansas starts on the fourth day of December and lasts until the fifteenth of December.
