Many people also appreciate the company of cats. Before you try to compare a cat to a dog, you need to understand that each one of them is a kind of specie that differs greatly from the other. Regardless what dog lovers may believe, cats make excellent housepets as they are good companions, they are civilized members of the household, and they are easy to care of. Firstly, some people enjoy the presence of cats. Many cats are tenderhearted, they will snuggle up and ask to be petted, or scratched under the chin. Who can resist a purring cat? If they're not in the mood, cats are generally quite playful. Although sometimes they become lazy, they are still fun to be around. Regardless of how boring the thing you are doing is, cats will always be around. So overall, cats are good companions. Unlike popular opinions, cats can be trained. Using ways like punishments and rewards, cats can be taught to avoid unwanted behavior. In the second place, cats are civilized members of the household. Unlike dogs, cats do not bark, or make other annoying noises that may disturb some people who generally love a quiet life. Moreover, cats don't often have accidents. Mother cats train their kittens very well to use the litter box. Most cats will use it without fail from that time on. As for others, even wild, they will understand this concept after showing them the box. Cats do have claws, and owners must take care of them. A tall scratching cloth in the cat's favorite area of the house will often keep it away from the furniture. Therefore, cats can be declawed, making them appropriate to live in a household without causing any damage, making them safe and comfortable to live with. Lastly,
