Casual Dining Restaurants Industry analysis Casual Dining Restaurants have become a trend that is going to change people’s habits. A friendly and pleasant environment, quick and fancy service, fun décor, high quality, relaxed ambiance, carefully selected dishes and competitive prices are some of the strong points of this style or casual dining if you prefer. Year after year these restaurants are gaining ground and becoming more attractive to people. The US census bureau defined this industry as “establishments primarily engaged in providing food services to patrons who order and are served while seated (i.e., waiter/waitress service) and pay after eating. Establishments that provide these types of food services to patrons with any combination of other services, such as take away services are classified in this industry.” (accessed December, 2008).
