It seems the human resource practices that Singhania and Partners’ employ are rooted from Singhania’s experiences while working for his father while going to law school. His father taught him that customer is king and that Singhania’s employees were his biggest asset. It can be seen how he manages his business can be related to what he learned from his father. One way it can be seen is that his practice was built in ways so that clients could realize value from their services. Turnaround time, accessibility to senior members in the firm, meeting deadlines, and providing services in a cost effective manner were important to his clients and therefore were the core values of his firm. He also strived on providing exceptional services to his clients, because he also needed to gain work through referrals. They also mention that they provide the best environment to work in which can be seen in a variety of ways. They refused to do form filling type of work because it was not stimulating enough for their lawyers. They also hold presentations for people to learn, build confidence, and grow with the organization. They also have an open door policy, merit based career growth, and go on annual retreats. 2) Evaluate the adequacy of the firm’s HR practices. Use the PCMM for this evaluation. What level does it appear to be at? I think that they are on level 3, which is the defined level. It seems they have a good foundation with good core values that seem to be consistent throughout the organization.
