The importance of the blue ocean strategy is that it keeps companies looking for untapped markets, which will provide new goods and services for the consumer. A product or service that might be considered a blue ocean move can be as simple as mixing alcohol and energy drinks packaging them and selling to the public. Anheuser-Busch could do this as long as the energy drinks do not contain caffeine. Mixing alcohol and energy drinks is not a new idea, but in November of 2010 the Food and Drug Administration declared caffeine an illegal and unsafe additive to manufactured alcoholic beverages. So now breweries cannot manufactures energy drinks with alcohol.
Eleazar Almazo October 2-10, 2012 Hunter Writing Soda Ban: Against The NYC government should not ban drinks larger than 16 ounces. For example, Arizona would be banned. Mayor Bloomberg stated you can buy the little soda drinks that when you add the calories, they equal the same as the big sodas. Even though I oppose to Mayor Bloomberg’s action, I get what they are saying. It higher the sugar which increases fat but it makes no sense buying 2 or 3 little bottles that can equal the same amount as the big cans.
In the case of Afghanistan, there would be a point of trying to institute a democratic regime if it was right after the won Afghan war from 1980’s. As is apparent from her doctrine, she did not support actions trying to constitute a democratic regime in country, where there were no traditions for such a form of government. That sounds perfectly logic, the only think that I do not understand about that is, why she would support the total war aimed in deposing Saddam twelve years before. Of course, the situation then was much better prepared for such a venture, the overthrowing of Saddam would plausibly be much less expensive, however, the core challenge, the absence of readiness of Iraq (and also of Afghanistan) and their civilians to become rulers for themselves, was always
“It’s the Real Thing” was first used in advertising for Coca-Cola over twenty seven years ago to refer to our product”. Herbert does this because he does not want Seaver to use that phrase. Through this Herbert believes it can take many of coke’s customers away if there is a slogan that is similar to theirs. He also believes if he can show the history of can and the slogan it can make Seaver change the slogan out of his book. Herbert also uses Ethos in his letter to persuade Seaver.
Interoperability is dangerous to the concept of Federalism because although New Orleans was granted money to fund the system by the national government, at the state level, it was never implemented. The dangerous part comes in when the public asks whose fault it was that the system wasn’t in place when it really mattered. The state believes the national government should have been more involved to mandate deadlines and be more proactive in the implementation. The public and many other professionals involved believe the local government could have ironed out all the ethical issues and implemented the system with only the financial help from the national government. Unfortunately for Katrina victims, that’s not what took
Wal-Mart does not care about the American economy because they are thriving the way the economy is now, so American citizens have to stand up for their communities. According to the book, How Walmart is destroying America and what you can do about it, when you are a huge rich company and all you want to do is get huger and richer, it turns out a lot of smaller, poorer people have to get hurt in the process. Wal-Mart with all its size and power, could hurt people or help them in a lot of situations. Which do you think it normally chooses to do (Bill Quinn 102)? The answer for so many years has obviously been hurt people.
While trying to cut off the drug supply at its source seems like a good idea it does not, however, stop the demand (376-377). Every time a shipment is confiscated another one is right behind it ready to be sold to eager users who are already addicted. It doesn’t matter how many large scale seizure of shipments happens because people will continue to find new and inventive ways to smuggle them into the country. I remember seeing a news report of how over 2 million dollars
Why Not Eighteen? Why is it legal for an eighteen-year-old to be able to sacrifice their life for their country, to get married, and to vote, but illegal for them to drink? The controversy and arguments for lowering the drinking age have been debated for years. Beginning with the early 1900s, the eighteenth amendment was ratified and had outlawed the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcoholic beverages in the United States following the Prohibition Movement. However, this amendment was ineffective in its enforcement and people continued to smuggle and consume alcohol as freely as they wanted.
This increased its market share to above 80% in the cardiology practice (Gamble, 2013). Below 50% would not have attracted any concerns from FTC, but 80% is a monopolistic type of control likely to discourage competition. The complaints were likely to emerge from grievances by health plans and payers in the domestic market who feared amplified reimbursement rates (Cleverley et al., 2011). Under the antitrust laws, the Clayton Act forbids mergers and acquisitions that might considerably lessen competition in any line of trade and any sector of the country (Miles, 2013). This is significantly addressed in the 1996 Statements of Antitrust Enforcement Policy in Health Care.
There are many cases that indicate that the Court often takes the easy way out by listening to public opinion rather than truly upholding the Constitution (Bartee, 2006). This is why the Poe v. Ullman case, 367 U.S. 497 (1961), was quickly made invalid just a few short years after it was decided. When the Court makes a decision that does violate privacy rights, groups of American citizens get together to protest and find ways to influence the Court to overturn those decisions (Bartee, 2006). Therefore, in some instances the Court does overstep its boundaries as it did when it made birth control pills illegal. However, it backed down a few years later by changing the decision based largely on public opinion.
