I personally feel that had I chosen a career path in relevance to my personality type, I
would have a much more successful and satisfying job today .Psychologist, John
Holland linked a person’s personality type to the careers that would be most fulfilling to
them (Witt & Mossler, 2010). According to John Holland’s theory, there are six
personality types that match individuals to certain occupations. These are the six
Realistic: Outdoor type. These individuals prefer activities requiring strength
and coordination. They are not very sociable.
Investigative: Interested in logics and concepts. Interests include science,
information, and abstract ideas and theories.
Artistic: Very imaginative. Likes to express their ideas and feelings. Enjoy
music and drama as well as creativity.
