Childcare Act 2006 – This Act makes provisions about the powers and duties of local authorities and other bodies in England in relation to the well-being and the improvement of children. This is done by making schools work with the local authorities to help/prevent any problems at the child’s home, Securing sufficient childcare for working parents so the child has somewhere to be while his parent(s) are at work, providing a parental information service and providing information, advice and training for childcare providers so the child receives the best help he/she can. This Act also sets registration and inspection arrangements as well as the frameworks by the Early Years Register (EYR) Which led to the setting up of the EYFS Children Act 1989–This Act aims to ensure the welfare of the child is paramount and makes schools and other professionals, agencies work with parents to keep the child from harm. The Act is intended to strengthen the child’s legal position and give him/her equal rights as well as keep the child informed Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurrences Regulation 1995 –This Act states what accidents at the workplace must be reported to RIDDOR this will help the children in the setting by helping the setting and giving them advice on how to reduce accidents, ill health or dangers in the setting. All injuries and illnesses are reported in the accident book and if it is contagious it may be put on the notice board to warn the other parents if the accident is bad it must be reported to Ofsted Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 - An Act that makes further provisions in securing health and safety in the setting, this puts the responsibilities of the employee’s and anyone at the settings health and safety onto the employer and there are inspections by Ofsted to make sure the setting is safe this will help the children by giving them a
